February 23, 2026 — Crypto.com announced today that it has received conditional approval from the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) to establish Foris Dax National Trust Bank (operating as Crypto.com National Trust Bank).

This conditional approval marks a significant step in Crypto.com’s journey to become a federally regulated entity offering industry-leading custody services. These services include asset custody, staking across blockchains and digital asset protocols (including Cronos), and trade settlement, further solidifying Crypto.com’s position as a preferred qualified custodian. Upon final approval, Crypto.com National Trust Bank will operate as a federally regulated National Trust Bank under the supervision of the OCC.

Kris Marszalek, Co-Founder and CEO of Crypto.com, stated: "Receiving this conditional approval reaffirms our commitment to compliance and our dedication to providing the trusted, secure, and reliable services our customers expect. This milestone brings us much closer to our goal of meeting the needs of large institutions by offering comprehensive qualified custody services under the 'gold standard' of federal regulation."

Crypto.com submitted its application to the OCC in October 2025. Crypto.com maintains an industry-leading position regarding licenses and certifications in regulation, compliance, and security.

This conditional approval does not affect the ongoing operations or customer service of Crypto.com Custody Trust Company; that entity continues to fulfill its duties as a qualified custodian while operating as a non-depository trust company regulated by the New Hampshire Banking Department.
